Welcome to the official home page for the Yellowknife Volleyball Association (YKVA). This page is part of a site dedicated to sports in the Northwest Territories. If you would like to see that page, click here. Final registration for the 2002-2003 season was Wednesday September 18/2002. If you still want to register a team for the 2002-2003 season, please send an email to the YKVA Executive and we will left you know if it is possible to start you later.

The YKVA League Rules are posted which govern game play. All team captains are responsible for reading and playing by these rules. The 2002/2003 season runs from September 18, 2002 until the end of April 2003. During this time there will be 3 rounds of regular season play:

Round 1 Volleyball Schedules Final (Sept 20/2002 - Nov 17/2002) and Statistics Final (Sept 20/2002 - Nov 17/2002)
Round 2 Volleyball Schedules Final (Nov 20/2002 - Feb 12/2003) and Statistics Final (Nov 20/2002 - Feb 16/2003)
Round 3 Volleyball Schedules Final (Feb 19/2003 - Apr 23/2003) and Statistics (Feb 19/2003 - Apr 23/2003)

and three tournaments:

Fall Volleyball Tournament November 1-3, 2002
Winter Volleyball Tournament January 31 - February 2, 2003
Spring Volleyball Tournament April 25-27, 2003

The YKVA Executive would like to inform all teams and players of the following:

The YKVA League fees are $900 per team.
Early registration of $800 per team if fees are paid by Sept 18, 2002.
Each player must pay $10 for NWTVA Membership Fees. These will be collected at registration time.
League fees MUST be payed by the end of the first round robin, or teams will not continue.
I have started a list of Players looking for a team.

Here is the official Volleyball Canada team Registration Form print it out, fill it out, then bring it to the AGM. If you have problems printing it, they will be available at the AGM. The Executive decided to skip an extra form since ths one is needed by NWTVA anyways. NWTVA's funding for programs (which benefit us) is determined by the number of registered members, so it is very important to have these completed.
